Tour of Siberian Cities
The Engage Russia team will be “in the field” from May 14-22 working on features about three Siberian cities. Krasnoyarsk, Omk and Chelyabinsk will be the focus of this set of features. As usual, our goal will be to investigate how Stateside churches can partner with national believers in these areas to form ministry/missions partnerships.
During the week we will also make stops in Novosibirsk to visit missionary colleagues. And, we will spend time in Izhevsk and Cheboksary to visit with national believers in these two key cities were partnerships are beginning to blossom.
Plans for our next Engage Russia production trip are underway. In May, Marc will be joined by Pastor Alan Floyd of First Baptist Church of Middleburg, Florida on a week-long tour of three different Siberian cities. More details on those trips will be released soon.
The Engage Russia Team will be busy, but not traveling as a team over the next few weeks.
Marc will be traveling to the States for an IMB media conference and then to Rome, Italy to assist with a media project there. Following that we will be working to acquire more footage of the Khanti people group and will be leading a volunteer team to work with the Chuvash in Late March.
Sunday, Feb. 8 – Bryansk
Our partnership profile tour continues this week as we travel to southwestern Russia to the town of Bryansk. In addition to visiting with our Stateside partners who are working in the area the team will attend a riverside baptism ceremony…a chilly affair considering a hole will have to be cut in the ice in order for the ceremony to take place.
