If you have subscribed to the Engage Russia Podcast you may have noticed that five “new” episodes were downloaded to your computer this past week. The Engage Russia introduction video as well as the entire Chuvash series have recently been re-encoded to allow these videos to be played on your iPod and iPhone. Due to a glitch in the formatting, earlier versions of these videos could be played on your computer through iTunes, but would not be transferred to your mobile devices. To save on hard drive space, you may want to go back into your podcast directory and delete the older versions of the videos.

It is our prayer that you will use this tool to share Engage Russia with your family, friends and church groups. New episodes are currently in production and are scheduled to be released in May. If you have questions about how you can use the Engage Russia campaign please contact us at TellMeMore@EngageRussia.org.

MOSCOW, RUSSIA – Two members of the Engage Russia team are readjusting to life in the States. Journeyman Sarah Darville and Engage Russia Co-Architect Tim Wicker have both recently returned to America after recently completing their terms of service in Russia.

Darville, a Georgia native, served a two-year Journeyman term with the IMB. Before joining the Engage Russia team, she spent the majority of her term in a city north of Moscow in Russia’s “Golden Ring.” After moving to Moscow, Darville served as the researcher for Engage Russia and not only helped develop research on the many people groups and cities spotlighted by Engage Russia, but assisted in the development and maintenance of the Engage Russia website. Darville plans to move to the Houston, Texas area and work in education.

Wicker, a 10-year IMB veteran, spent the past five years helping to develop the Volunteer Strategy Coordinator program and has served as the director for that initiative. The Engage Russia emphasis is an extension of the VSC program which partners Stateside churches with Russian believers. Wicker was instrumental in the 2007 International Day of Prayer for the Udmurt people of Russia – a worldwide IMB event. Since that time, two couples have recently surrendered to a call to missions and will begin serving among the Udmurt this summer. The Wicker family also served as church planters in the far east of Russia in Vladivostok.
